I'm adding some 4kw space heaters and towel rail to existing ring mains (have elected not to run a separate circuit as they are only to be used rarely and mostly at different times to top up a wood burning stove that heats most of the property), the main bedroom will have two of these heaters and the client wants them both to run off one timer, they have purchased the same timer that I've used on their immersion (rated at 16amps, do not have make and model, it's pretty obscure anyway), I'd be happy to use this if there where one after each spur but have reservations about running the two heaters off of it.
Can someone please advise if my concerns are founded and if so what a better alternative might be, and if I can use the existing timer how best to configure.

If you are talking about FCu then a 4kw space heater will be to big for a FCU as they only have a 13 A fuse

I'm probably trying to do too many things at once today, 400w not 4kw, (I'm having another email conversation with a client about a 4kw shower they want to install).
So my questions is how can I put two 400w heaters on one timer?

use timer to energise a contactor for each heater, and put them each on a 16A radial. bad practice, IMO, to add such a large load to a RFC. what might be occasional use the day you fit them, might turn out to be heavy use if they run out of wood.

edit: scrub that. just seen your last post after i posted. 800watts on a 16A timer is perfectly OK.
