Hi Guys,

Came across a low volt extractor fan and light unit above shower on a dimmer switch whilst doing a p.i.r.

Can anyone see a prob, does this warrant a code ??

Thanks jem:confused:

not sure about a code, but if dimmed, the fan may either not work at all or , worse, burn out. i would definitely advise replacing the dimmer.

do you mean low voltage or are they elv? in both cases the dimmer switch will affect the speed of the and extract efficiency if the fan 230V or ELV transformer are in series with the switch , although not warranting a code it also not strictly correct

Thanks guys,

Sorry elv, its the unit where the mr16 is built in, lighting is gu10 ,,4 bulbs on a bar type, zone three, not seen the manufact" instructions.
