Hi guys,
today I was asked 'just to look at it': The guy has a three bed semi, the small bedroom is some sort of an office. There is a ring mains (via 32 Amps) to one double socket outlet in the corner of the room without being used. On the oposite wall there are two double sockets connected as radial circuit fed from a 16A RCBO. Just above the CU is a combined line filter / surge protector , connected in line with the 16A radial circuit, for the computer equipment. This guy wanted two more double sockets connected to the radial circuit. The 16A RCBO is labelled up as office supply.
My question is: is it actually allowed to have two different supplies in one room? It may cause confusion when it comes to safe isolation.
I said to him that I hadn't much time today ...
