Hello there

My stepdaughter is redecorating the master bedroom of the house her and her husband have just bought. I have been asked to fit a new ceiling fan in place of the original central lighting fitting (1-way only), and there also 2 new ceiling mounted bedside lights.

They want each bedside light fitting to have it's own 2-way light switch (flushed-in) each side of the bed. These both need to be controlled at the bedroom entrance door by a two-way switch(s).

She says she just wants to be able to turn off both bedside lights at the door

I am wondering if I can achieve this with one 2-way switch at the door if it makes more sense for each bedside light to have it's own 2-way switch at the door.

Thanks

Slowbutsure.

2 gang switch atr door. 1 for each light. then 1 gang 2 way switch each side of bed. my preference would be to fit dimmers at the bed, standard rockers at the door.

Welcome to the forum.
There is no straightforward way of having two different lights controlled by individual switches in one location and one switch in another location.
You could do it with wireless switches or relays but this is not cheap.
Telectrix has given the easy and sensible solution.
If you are also switching the main light then use a three gang switch by the door.
