Hi guys
I wonder if you can help attaced is a pic of a cut out the only ID it has is Lucy-Oxford MC-N/PC.
1. Would I be right in saying it has a BS88 60-80A fuse.
2. PSSC measured at 1.88kA L-N and 1.48kA L-E my head says tyhis is TNS but it looks like TNCS ?

Anyway appreciate some feedback

Can't be TNC-S as the PSCC and the PEFC would be the same for a PME. or they should be unless you have a huge run from the header to the main MET

Some old heads that are cast use to use the cast itself as an earth. What was your Ze reading?

No picture as come up yet so can't comment on fuse but a BS 88 is likely. If it is a TN-S using the cast as an earth, but you get good Ze reading, then really you can leave well alone. Can always call the DNO and inform them of what you found, but hope you have patience.

The casing is bakalite and there is a earth tag on the cable as it enters the cut out but it is not used also Ze is 0.13 also CU is right next to cutout/meter

The Ze looks spot on as if you divide 230/1888 you get 0,122 which would then make you think it was a TNC-S as that Ze would be low for a TN-S.

Is there a particular reason your concerned about this or is it just for your own want to know lol , all your tests look fine they all stack up. The only people that will tell you are the DNO and as I'm sure you know 70% of the time they won't know.

The only thing I can then think off was perhaps at one stage it was TN-S and at a later date it;s been converted to a PME. If the DNO did it fine.

Those tails and Earth look new did you fit them?

thanks Malcolm
I am doing a PIR on a 1930s property that was rewired in 2006 the mains from the cut out to meter then CU is 25mm and the seal is broken on the meter. I have highlighted this on the PIR but as you can see on the pic the earth connection looks like it is connected into the neutral side of the cut out and you are right this is me trying to get it right I suspect it is TNS with a BS88 fuse hence the reason why I asked the question

I'm not there mate but I would say it was a TNC-S As you know a PME will have a link at the header seperating the earth and Neutral. Take that bottom cover off and see if it is linked out

There as to be something on the left side of that block butted upto your header. I'm assuming the one Earth cable on the right is going to your CU or another MET. If you remove that bottom cover you will see if it's linked with the neutral to make your earth or if there is a join to the sheath.

What does the EIC from 2006 give as supply.
