Iv just used a crackin bit of kit Raychem tape used it to seal a ug cable that had been scuffed and some of the outer insulation removed Tested it out then applied this tape stuff self sealing and waterproof it can also be used on water to a no bad pressure according to instructions its like Moderen Clean Denso tape I threw the box away and canny mind name

Is it that stuff that doesn't stick to anything but itself, but when it's wrapped around something it's impenatrable? Saw some of it demo'd in the ELEX Exeter show - guy wrapped it round a pressurised leaking pipe and it sealed it up proper. Gonna get hold of some of it, it looks proper.

i got it for £40 for 10mtrs the 10mtrs seemed to go quiet far the doggs bollox as cutting the cable and jointing it twice and putting a bit in(not to mention the possible problems later on ) just due to a big scrape on the nissulation £40 doesnt sem so bad

Was glad to have it in the van when i put a screw through a heating pipe at home when trying to get rid of a squeaky floorboard. Brilliant stuff.

yea its that "self somebigfancyword" tape n it does only stick to its self which is great untill it does it when you dont want it to then its a barsteward

i managed to put a nail through the main gas pipe on the landing one friday night. the missus had been nagging for months for it. so up i went carpet up and nail through an old hole they had neglected to place the nail back in. woosh and a bad smell of gas later. clean underwear needed. b gas said they would charge for fixing it, oh well needs doing. the gas guy went mad when he came out , said the only person that would be paying would be the corgi guy that fitted it, he took his details in hand with him and said i should not feel a plonker (still did) moral being just because there is a hole don`t fill it you never know what you may get ;)
