unable to open pdf files

I have Adobe Reader program on my pc, but it no longer opens the pdf files that I have downloaded from this forum.
I am no computer geek and don't know how to fix it. Any ideas fellas?

Do you have adobe reader X? Un install it and put adobe reader 9.5 back on.

yes it is adobe reader X, but thats all i have, no other one to put on. I'll have to download it from somewhere..

Agreed.

Uninstall Reader X, then go to Adobe.com, click on the option to download Adobe Reader, but click the link just below the title of the download that says: "Do you have a different language or operating system?"

Then you can select a different version.

Adobe Reader X seems to give problems to half of the world and the other half seem unaffected by it!

Dowload and install foxit reader free for most users and oopens all Pdf files with out problems when you install just dont install the google search bar an less you want it Secure PDF Reader use download link at bottom of page hope this helps.
