Unclear questions

Hi,

I dont want the answers, just wondered if any could check to see if im on the path whilst trying to understanding the questions below!!

1. List three materials which may be required forremedial work following the rewiring of domestic premises, with buried wiring and flush accessories.

Now im reading "remedial work" as in repairs to an existing installation, but then it says FOLLOWING a re-wire, so everything should be right?

2. Describe three work activities, related to thefabric of the building, which may be undertaken when installing steel conduitand trunking in a new brick and steel frame workshop.

This has thrown me, what "other" activities would you do if you were there to do just the containment?

3. State six stages of preparation required beforework can be safely carried out on an existing electrical installation.

Are they meaning permits to work, isolation, barriers, signs or am i reading the question wrong?

Ive done the other 13 questions, the above just done seem clear?

thanks

Remedial work is also classed as filling in your chases, putting floor boards back, sealing any holes that you have drilled to the outside of the house. Think about the fabric of the house and what you disturb whilst doing a rewire and what needs to repaired (aka remedial work)

2. Describe three work activities, related to the fabric of the building, which may be undertaken when installing steel conduit and trunking in a new brick and steel frame workshop.

This has me scratching my head as well? How new are the bricks and has the cement dried enough to drill into it or rest ladders against it? Dont you just love C&G and the way they ask the questions lol.

3. State six stages of preparation required before work can be safely carried out on an existing electrical installation.

Spot on Torrens but I would include before all of them visual inspection of the working area for hazards. Think H&S on these type of questions, they are asking for "what would you do before starting work" and of course we look at all sorts of things first.

Ive done the other 13 questions, the above just done seem clear?

thanks
