Underfloor heating stat and Hello

Firstly just want to say hello and this is my first post so be gentle.

underfloor heating mat fitted in bathroom currently all the cables ie supply and mat are connected directly to the Digital stat. What i would like to do is put the supply cables into a switched socket and then run a 2.5 t+e spur as well as mat cables to the stat to free up space and make it isolatable (not sure if this is a word).

But not sure what switch to use any links/ideas.

We've always put in SFCU when installing underfloor heating mats, as im not sure what the rating of them are but I dont think they are a lot so we always fuse them down. At socket level, 450mm then the stat at 1500mm.

just went to look at a faulty under floor heating system.
got the advised reading across the mat, but the probe was open circuit?
im guessing that that was the issue as the mat wouldnt heat up.

Yeah. Switched fused spur in other words.
