I am currently installing mat type underfloor heating under tiles in a bathroom. Once fitted, is the actual wiring that produces the heat considered to be part of the houses fixed wiring, or would it be considered to be a fixed electrical item like a shower or storage heater. I will do an IR test on the heater wiringi before it is energised, together with the normal tests on the circuit supplying it. Should the results for the heater wires be recorded on an EIC ? cheers.
