Hi,
Can somebody help me with my understanding of part p requirements.
Take tomorrows job.
Like for like replacement of a shower. Haven't viewed it yet so no details except the cable is 6mm. I told them to get. 7.2KW shower to be on the safe side.
My question is this: because it's a like for like swap, I can simply swap the unit for the new one if the cable and fuse is sufficient. However if there is no red or supplementary bonding in the bathroom I can still install? Also because its not a new circuit I don't have to upgrade the bonding if it is inadequate?
I know all of the above are serious concerns but I just want to understand what the law requires.
Thanks, Dan
