Uneven roof.?

Well after loosing all my QMS and backup in January i haven't done anything about it, but i have a PV job to do, wooohooo

looks like ill have alot of back dating to do, only done three installs though so shouldnt take long.


Right my question

Basically im doing a 4Kw system and the house has had an extention, the extension roof is nice and straight but then dips about 2 to 3 inches to the old roof

Any good Brackets to use to compensate for the dip, ive only used K2 mounting system and you cant adjust the hieght.? tiles are Concerete pan tiles

We stock a few different types of anchor that have varying amounts of vertical adjustment.

If the roof is particularly bad and you want to keep the PV array level, we also have a plate adjuster that can be used to "extend" an anchor out to the required height.

Have a look at the Solar iclip from EJOT (Stainless Steel Fasteners ? Building & Industrial Fasteners | Custom Fasteners - EJOT) Not the cheapest but fully compliant with Eurocode 5 (the timber regs) for fitting directly to a 36mm engineered roof truss.
(I don't work for them and don't have shares in them, just think it is a good solution, also made in what some consider God's country).

schuco do an extension piece for their mounting kit that can extend it about 4 inches, but you have to be careful not to go more than 200mm above the roof surface at any point, which could be tricky.
