Client wanted the flex for thier monitor routed up through tier desk, so I made a small hole for the flex and chopped the molded plug off to replace with a new one after treading the flex through the hole.
Then I look at the flex cable colours, cpc is purple, live is black and nuetral is white. Also the neutral is the only cable with a copper stranded core, the cpc and live are some dull silver metal.
Hmm, I think, not having this, off I goes and gets another flex (I have loads of 'kettle lead' flexs knocking about) and uses this one instead.
Never seen that colour scheme before, anyone got any ideas where it came from? The moulded plug had BS1363 stamped on it.
