What am I doing wrong! I have been trying to upload photos for ages now with no luck. Could it be a setting that I need to change or could it be the fact I'm using internet explorer ?.
I can seem to change my Avatar picture with no problem, but every time I try to attach one to either a thread or to create an album it just gives me the middle finger. I really want to bottom this out, surely with all the knowledge on here we can sort this out.
Mods if you need to move this I understand but I just thought more people would see it here.

What size are the pictures you're trying to upload?

I now use PhotoBucket for all forums, the picture then appears full screen in the post. It also means I have control of them if I want to remove one.

Cheers tony, may have to try that. the photo sizes cant be very large some are 80kb some are 200 kb, but if they are too large why can I upload them for my avatar.

click on go advanced when you want to post, and then scrolldown to attachments, click on that and a browse button appears which takes you to your picture files on your computer, when you see the photo you want to upload click open and then it will load into a file on this site where your photos can be stored. Once it is there click on the photo and drag it into the box then click on done, it will then appear in your post. The sites software automatically resizes it so whatever size you upload it will appear in the post Glenn.

Cheers mike I will give that a go now, watch this space literally

Don't know what it is now but avatars were restricted to 80 x 80 pixels. (130 x 130 rings a bell for some reason)

With my pictures downloaded from PhotoBucket I can drop them in to a post in a logical order rather than a load of thumbnails. Now I've started animating drawings a remote host is the only way I can do it.

Wouldn't suprise me at all Ie is a beta and hard work, This Vbullitin software recommends IE is not used when browsing the site, they recommend Firefox as standard, IE has always had trouble, not sure what windows you are on, but pre windows 8 has a compatibility icon next to the top address bar which helps, windows 8 onwards you need to click on the tools icon top right. My recommendation is to use Chrome, Firefox or Opera rather than IE, Firefox my personal choice.

I use photobucket myself fella, it is the way forward for sure, just img links and it does upload you are correct. But the sites uploader does also work, the problem most have is knowing how to use it, the VBullitin attachments folder is difficult to find to be fair.

cheers Mike I am trying to upload an attachment as we speak but it just seems to be buffering in the top right corner of the attachment screen

you need to click on the bottom right of the photo and then drag it into the box, maybe you have clicked on it too many times and IE has gone all haywire lol

heres hoping
