Ah 99 is small beer we used to join 100 pair cable when I worked at BT and that took some doing all the twists and jelly beans then heat shrink enclosure all to a diameter of about 50mm.Phil, if i had 99 cores in a cable i woud get the wife to knit something for me out of it!

yes you had to watch what you were doing,I bought a tester for sorting them out if someone made a mistake.HeHe, at least ours were in control rooms.
Big mistake was getting two guys to connect an end each. It was amazing the colour combinations they got. I got lumbered with the job of sorting it out.

well i know you can get a tester for sortin out pairs....a TDR will do it n all...yes you had to watch what you were doing,I bought a tester for sorting them out if someone made a mistake.
I remember a while back having a similar conversation with Tony we were going to see about getting a grumpy old git,s section going,bit like the arms but just for people like us.According to my kids I'm a miserable grumpy old bugger too
