Hi all,

I'm not an electrician, I come here for advice.

I wondered if it would be possible and safe to run a long, thick, armoured cable from my outdoor plug on my conservatory underground around 20 metres to power an outdoor light?

Or would I need a full new circuit ran from my consumer unit

thanks in advance.

Are your sockets RCD protected? is the new light a standard type? or fixed to the wall of your house? 3 questions sorry sounds like it is going to be remote forgot the 20Mts bit
