using conduits as cpc

Hi everyone and thanks in advance.
I am doing PIR tomorrow and I have been told by another spark who saw the job that conduit is used as a cpc, is that acceptable providing the readings are ok .

Absolutely fine. Rigid metal conduit and the metal sheath or armour of a cable can be used as a protective conductor. 543.2.2, 543.2.5

Just make sure any running couplers have locknuts to take out any wobble and give good continuity

This is an instance were fly leads MUST be used from back boxes to accessories.

This install will need a very thorough visual and continuity test on all the metal parts. If you find any defects, then quote to put in a cpc to back up the protection from the conduit etc.
