Using PV Sol on two differently oriented roofs, is it possible?

Hi all,
I've been getting on fairly well with PV Sol so far but got completely stuck the other day trying to get it to run an analysis on a system on an L shaped house with arrays on the SE and SW facing roofs. I'd like to compare putting it all on a 2 MPPT inverter and putting it all on Enecsys but seems no way to configure modules over two roofs, I have to delete my module and inverter configuration when I move back and forth between the gable view and the eaves view. Does anybody have any idea how to achieve this as I've been told that it can definitely be done.

Thanks!!

Yes I am, had no problem with the 3D and all that, even the confusing 'shift width' measurements but this has stumped me.

Then only way I have found of doing it is to run two seperate simulations. I can get the panels on the roof, but if I try to install on one inverter, the program won't let me. I can only do it with two seperate inverters. Maybe a phone call to technical?

You are aware that you need to 'activate' different roof areas to install panels, right?

Hi

Iam going through this at the moment.

You can't setup 2 arrays on single inverter in 3D.

You have to use 2d.

Yes I totally agree.

Wait till you get to the efficiency calcs. Have to mess around with the figures because the software is not setup properly for the UK market.
Does not calculate inflation into the feed in tariff.

Apparenlty they are fixing this. I sent 2 emails to germany about it, but had no response what so ever.
Solar design guys have been very helpfull, but this is an issue that the german software house should deal with.

I personally think UK customers should be upgraded free when it is fixed, as it is not fully usable for the UK without messing about with it.

I thought the £1000 odd price tag was supposed to save time, not waste it. Problem is what other software is there to use for this ?

Have you had the email about the new update? I thought it had the inflation and extended 25 year fit on it now?

I have not had that for the Expert version, only the Pro, tell me more !!!

I purchased Expert 2 weeks ago, and was supplied a spreadsheet to adjust the figures.

Was told that I would have to supscribe to the updates with germany to get the updates, more money that I don't think should be paid for when it is really relaeased for uk market when not ready.

I've only got the pro - maybe it's only for that. I've only just bought the Pro version and I'm not ging to be happy if they want to sell me an upgrade when they knew full well there was one due out any time..

SRE

I have just emailed to ask for a downlgrade and refund to the Pro 4.5 version as it seems better suited to the UK market. We will see what the response is.

Also not sure if it helps you, but in the Technical Data system configuration dialog did you enter 2 arrays ?

The project must not be started with quick design at the start.
