After being dole scum for a while now (my own view of myself atm. not denigrating anyone else off work just now) one of the things we had to let go was our sky subscription. I thought the box would still be able to be used for the freeview channels and up to now it has been.
Now, on a lot of the channels we are getting the message No satellite signal is being received. Sometimes it clears and the channel comes on sometimes it's like that all day.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can reset the box so we can get the freeview channels

Hi Trev, sorry to hear about your problems..It sounds as if your signal strength is poor. Using your Sky Remote, press the oval "Services" button, then select 4-System Setup, then 6 Signal Test. If the top Signal Strength bar is not at least 70% up you may have problems. Probably your dish has moved , or the screw-in "F" connectors at each end-the receiver or the LNB, are dodgy. Hope this helps. Regards,Ron.

or the tuner in your box. Can you put your box on a friends supply to check if it is working? Then could you borrow their box to check it on your installation? Only usually four bits on a sat system, box, cable, lnb, dish. Without a meter it can be a bit time consuming and guesswork to eliminate each aspect
