Hey guys. Looking at comissioning a SMA SB10000TL and thinking about using 2.5mm 5 core SY multi Flex. Is this ok? Some places say it shouldn't be connected directly to mains supply but others say it's ok? Or what would others do/suggest?

Thanks

Like I have posted before 2.5mm is not the best and the min ill ever use is 4mm for smaller systems I never scrimp if it could knock the performance of a system but also for peace of mind.

We have used SY 5 core on some jobs, in some circumstances it's a good solution, though we never use less than 6mm2, it's not worth skimping on.

Cable is expensive these days, but PV systems are very sensitive to volt drop (as many threads on here will testify). I'd advise oversizing the cable unless you have no choice. 4mm cable should be enough on most installs and we have used it ourselves but we tend to use 6mm on every install now.
