Working with imperial sized conduit. It is 5/8".

Would like to fit double back boxes to replace the original singles, the problem being is that the knock outs are 20mm, so they are too big to fit the conduit bush to. I have been to a few electrical wholesalers trying to source parts from imperial to metric but no one stocks anything for 5/8"

The only solution we've come to so far is using a washer between the conduit and the back box to make it fit. Would this work with the conduit being the main CPC? I've only been able to get copper washers to fit so far

I can't see it being a problem. Brass banjos are used when passing swa through a non conductive enclosure. If you're concerned the washer might be too thin to withstand a fault current just run a cpc within the conduit :)
