Hi guys,

In the wholesaler earlier and picked up a leaflet for "V-Phase", a voltage management box that keeps your bills down and is apparently "green". I've never seen one of these installed so if anyone else has....

- Are they any good? Do they actually make the savings they claim?
- Use a full EIC to install it etc?
- Tips/problems etc??

I have some regular customers who like all the green energy stuff, but I don't want to recommend it to anyone if its naff. Apologies if theres been a thread on this already, couldn't see one....

Cheers

It depends who you listen to. A lot of people think they're the mutts nuts and give a decent saving - others think that they would need to defy the laws of physics if they were to work.

I think that they probably do work but maybe not to an extent that makes them economically viable - yet. They're a advantage if there are lots of lights in the home but they won't make any difference to applicances like a kettle, immersion heater or heater.

They cutout after 20 amps, i think the money would be better spent on low energy lamps, bulbs and tubes
