Hi,
Do any of you hire vans on a monthly basis? im looking into hiring a van but dont want to do contract hire where im tied for 3 years..

any advice on where to look for good deals?

cheers

I can't help you with recommendations I'm afraid but you should maybe also check out leasing options. Some have an option to purchase after a couple of years and there may be tax deductable implications. (there is where I live)

have a look at swapz
its a web site where people go on and swap things, from houses to holidays to vehicles
I got my citroen berlingo off there last feb, cost me nothing in cash, I swapped an alfa romeo car which was gien to me, the van has been reliable and ive no complaints, we met up in a motorway sevice station and exchanged documents and keys and thats it
worth a look to anyone stuggling to obtainan a new van or the like
obviously you need to be able to offer something
just google swapz, is a great site

sounds like a m way drug deal I know - checked out the reg and the details first and it came back clean
its a nice site for people wanting swapz

may have been a bit arfur daily but it got me what I needed, which was a van with cash outlay as was totaly skint as work had put us on 2.5 days a week at the time, - trying to set up a business and run a house/ 2 kid family when your mrs maternity pay had stopped was extremely tough, this site really helped me out.
the berlingo is a 53 plate and doesnt look too bad either. ( it didnt come with a flatcap and fleece ) : )
