Has anyone any good suggestions/experiences with regards to ventilation for vans? I currently have a LWB Hi Roof van and this morning found quite a lot of condensation in the back of the van. Given the value of tools and products in the back of the van its something I'd like to get sorted ASAP.

Well to have what you say either water is getting in or you have water sitting in the van somewhere, It's not normal or we would all be suffering with it. I have had it once on an old van which had a roof rack that sat in the gutter and every time i opened the door water fell in after raining. For weeks i could not understand why condensation was on the ceiling in the back. Hence why I went there first.
Just thought it would be better to find out why its happening before spending on sorting it first.

It's always been a minor issue though and something I've intended to sort out. If water had been getting in it would be easy enough to spot as the ply lining would be wet. Other than the odd time the door has been opened when its raining water doesn't get in. The only difference to the van this week is I have had it parked in an empty warehouse through the week with the doors often open. And the weather here this week has been really good, hottest day of the year so far was today.

What I don't want to be doing is having to replace tools and chuck out stock because of it. If it costs around ÂŁ70 for a vent that will cure the problem I'd be ok with that, but I'd like to be sure it will cure the problem.

We need to know the whole truth in order to help you out, does your Mrs have a fit sister that you have been getting up close and personal with in the back of your van?

Have you been sleeping in it ;P

I get quite a bit when it's raining. Wet foot prints in and out of van. I found the ply will hold loads before you notice it. Stuck a dehumidifier in mine last year and it's still dry.

It's an option I'd not really considered (doh!), I'll stick that in it tomorrow afternoon. If the van gets emptied whilst its on and I'm indoors watching the footy I'll hold you personally responsible :83:
