Hi, I've been asked if i could disconnect the above and then reconnect it as the pillar it is mounted on is being replaced. Would anyone be able to tell me what is involved as it isn't something I am familiar with? Is it a case of just disconnecting the unit and then reconnecting or is there more too it? I've attached a picture below and will also download the manual to see if that sheds some light on it. I'm presuming ill need a key to access it first off. Thanks

what he said. diss the keypad and insulate the ends of the wires, unless you de-power the system first. my favorite is to snip the wires, leaving a short bit still connected to the keypad thus the colour to each terminal is preserved.

I have a Vanderbilt V44 Duo which has stopped working. No lights, no beeps. The key has been mislaid and spares for this particular unit are unavailable. Any thoughts/ideas?
If you don't have the key or code to it, then its pretty hopeless unless you know a very clever locksmith, abandon it and buy a new one.
