VAT Refund late

Like many of you I do my VAT returns on a monthly basis.

Just wanted to know if anyone else is still waiting for their refund. It's been 19 days now since I submitted it and nothing as of yet.

Quite a bit larger than normal due to the rush of installs so assuming they want to check and double check etc.

Makes me mad, they soon jump up and down if you don't pay them on time!

All sorted- Had a phone call literally an hour after I posted this. Just wanted me to email them over some proof.

Suppose that's what I get for selling 6 times in a month what I normally do

can take upto 21 days before they process it happens when they owe you dont worry

I have had this before. I have noticed if your return is under 10k you usually have it in your bank within 7 days. If it is over 10k then it can take up to 30 days which is the longest I have waited.

I too am also expecting them to question it.

WOW just what u dont need at xmas! is it ur first vat inspection? ive only ever had one in 25yrs! but now ive done few solar jobs this be first time they will be paying me (except when buying a van) so bound to get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think most solar installers are due refunds so it is nothing out of the ordinary so I think it is unkikely to trigger suspicion, unless of course Barking mad and huhn decide to quietly ask them in revenge!!
