Verfication of phase sequence

Hi Chaps

Why on my cert software does the self check facility always bring up 'verification of phase sequence - applicable to most installations'. Surely its only applicable to multi phase installations, not a standard single phase domestic installation ?

Again spud you are correct, I assume your software highlights it as it's a recognized test now in the 17th.

To my mind, it's rather pointless.

If it was a 3-phase supply and the rotation was wrong, what are you going to do about it?

Till they buy a 3-phase w/machine which i had only the once mind. But i get your point if only single phase operation going on.
It would be better to have a tick box for not having 400v in the same rooms for example on domestic jobs instead.
I suppose it would make more sense if they had a standby gen-set but even then whats the point as you say.
