Wondered if anyone could help, im a bit stumped with this

I have a mate whos bought a shop with one of these installed, ive fitted many veritas over the years so quite versed with programming

However i have gone to dump this system by pressing tamp spring 3 times to which it has worked, but only appears to have wiped the user code, pressing 1234 wont let me access engineers mode for some reason

Any ideas?

Maybe old veritas before spring method ....Try original way...press and hold reset on power up.

not sure. tazz will know better. or phone texecom technical.

usually you can short some pins out to reset it back to factory defaults, i would have a google for the manual

Sounds like it has been locked under Engineer options, and Texecom will charge to reset it.

just had a look in the manual. a locked eng. code can only be reset by texecom and subject to a charge. easier option is to buy a new panel and swap the pcb into the existing panel.

Ive fitted and maintained loads and loads of texe panels and never come across this yet, typical !

How would texecom unlock it? surely it would have to be connected to a telephone line?

New PCB sounding like a better option by the minute!

by the time you've farted about, £40 for a new panel is logically the cheapest option.

Quite annoying mind, as the panel doesn't look more than 1 year old, will ring texe tommorow just to double check and update here

There is a way of shorting out and reprogramming. Just buy a new board, this is your mate at the end of the day. New panel and no more problems. Simples.

Update :

Spoke to texecom tech today, they tell me the same thing that the panel has been engineer locked and the only way around this is by replacing the pcb
