Veritas R8 Plus disable abort time sound

Hello!

I have never found how to disable "abort time sound". Is about 30 seconds of beep sound on all keypads installed.

The Spanish Manual is almost incomplete. I found a full manual here http://accl.onwirral.net/Downloads/VeritasR8Plus_Excell.pdf

I have try some PROG settings there but never get success. I can´t set to disable that sound, is very annoying in the night when someone is sleeping.

Anybody here can help me?

unless you know the engineer code the chances are you will not be able to re program it, for a small charge you may need to call out the original alarm company who installed it.

Hi! This alarm was installed in 1998, the original alarm company doesn´t exist anymore

I think the engineer code is the default, because I can access to PROG options, but I don´t know what I must change. I have try this:

-Enter Engineer code
-Press PROG
-Press 8 Press 0
-Now the alarm shows me number 1 ON. But I can´t turn off or turn on the others numbers.

Which options I must change to disable the sound?

if you press number 1 the on light should go off then press program to accept, if in doubt the website you need is Texecom - leading manufacturer of award-winning security and intruder alarm products can download user manuals

May be worth contacting texacom tech helpline,i have used them before and
found them very helpfull.

During the night you can use part set which is silent, the same zones can be set and just alter entry/exit
