vintage couthrie outside light

Was looking on ebay and this poped up in the users who bought this went on to look at this type of etc

vintage coughtrie glasgow wall light long arm corner bracket | eBay

Are they really worth this? got one in the shed I took down from my own home its in excelent condition with unmarked glass globe was going to throw it but ended putting it in the back of my shed.
anyone know how old they are roughly

I wouldn't exactly call them vintage since they are still making them

The original coughtrie lights were manufactured by Crabtree and were used in vast numbers during the 1980s especially in schools for security lighting, they were carp IMHO and I wouldn't pay tuppence for one today.

Coughtrie fittings have been manufactured by Coughtrie for 70 odd years so when did Crabtree manufacture them

Can't agree with your opinion of them, Coughtrie make some very good fittings although some of them look a little dated

Ripped a load of bulkheads and the green enamel shades out of a brewery a few years ago when my mate was doin his house up. He's into them so i let him have them then found I lost a few hundred on it [emoji16]
