Hi
Does anyone know of a computer version of the Visual condition report, please. Plenty of CDs on auction sites, but they are usually out of date, but none contain Visual report. *PDF or *DOC or OOffice stuff?

Many Thanks Druncanduncan. All received and now I have to play with Open Orafice to find out how they work!!
Anyone know how to create a *.JPG Logo from say word/publisher....Only want to put my details on a form, but it has to be a *.JPG, and Word/Publisher dont seem to do it. Paint dont get it big enough, so I might have to look at Gimp, which is supposed to be unfriendly.

If Paint won't let you resize your created logo large enough directly (see how to do this via Help> Index> Resizing picture) then ...
One Method of doing this:
Download Irfan View and it's additional plug-ins from the address below and install on your computer. Create your logo in Paint, 'Save As' *.jpg, *.tiff or *.bmp and 'Open' it and 'Resize' it to scale required in the simple but powerful free utility Irfan View before re-saving 'Save As' *_1.jpg. Then import *_1.jpg into your Word document 'Insert' >'Picture' >'From file'.

Thats one report i refuse to carry out , as you will never be able to see what sdeep down no earth on the supply no earth continuity hi Ze and Zs reading open circuits on a ring Just to name a few ,tysoft do great certs by the way not being funny but this type of inspection should be outlawed

I think the person who thought up these visual inspections should be publicly humiliated. Part P is being peddled on the grounds of improved safety then someone comes up with these visual inspection reports not sure how they fit in or is this a good reason for abolishing Part P

I have submitted in writting to the Scottish committee on the consultation of the "Proposed Tenant Information Pack" questioning its legality as it is not in BS7671 but if they are going to adopt it then they should make it a legal document only thing is NICEIC are pushing for it yet we have just been through a BS7671 review. Although I have suggested a cut down version of the EICR but only if an EICR is done every 5 years where suitable doing the cut down version (NOT A VISUAL) that checks Ze-PFC-Zs on socket outlets incuding the cooker socket and these readings must be referenced to the last EICR.

Engineer 54 is correct the VICR is not worth the paper it is written on and the litmus test is you can stand up in court and you are questioned on a EIC,MWC,EICR that is referenced to BS7671 but a judge is not going to accept a VICR that was thought up on the back of a smoke packet. Plus I still have to ask the nagging question which is if it was an official document why not all the schemies get together to roll out a generic document or do the all have their own.

Guys sorry to raise and old chestnut here but its been a quite day so I had a cuop o tea and read the September version of the Professional Electrician now it looks like in an article by Bill Allan of Napit looking at the VICR and he is saying that it does not comply with chapter 62 & 63 of BS7671 plus are they worth doing.

Nice to see this is being discussed plus he is saying that a VICR is ok if the rental property has had a EICR 2 years previously as this will allow for a change of tenants funny enough something I have been saying instead of a VICR do a baby EICR in other words do some Ze and Zs readings and RCD test if applicable when tenants change but still do your full EICR every 5-6 years
