Not sure who these 2 are , presumably they are / were sparks

They absolutely slaughter the NIC for allowing sub-standard Sh!t work. But they kind of miss the point of the NIC. Its not to police its members ensuring they all do a Rolls Royce job , its just to ensure that the members are compliant

In reality no 2 sparks work the same 1 may do an okay job that is just about compliant the other may go above and beyond But both are compliant and safe to use

In real world not every job can be a Picasso? especially when money is tight

Both working sparkys and good on them....NICEIC were trying everything in the book to not follow up shitye work carried out by an approved contractor on a new build so they let them have it....Just had the same myself, an office reception room, 12 mains voltage downlights wired in 2 core flex no cpc and again approved contractor who carried out the work.....Not even worth contacting the NIC over it because they dont care
