anyone got a recomendation for this, (usual case not wanting to spend)

swap an existing socket for fcu for new boiler, no bonding to gas/water against regs but velcb on tt so installing bonding could render the elcb useless making the install worse than what it is. so two options:

swap socket for fcu and leave as is
install main bonds replace elcb with 30ma rcd then swap socket to fcu.

would say that option 2 was only way to go, but as its not really any sort of alteration not sure

Get the velcb and throw it away as far as you can, then replace with and RCD, thats my view, I still have a skip outside my house, but it won't be here for much longer :wink_smile:

its fitted that way now but heating engineer asked her to get a fcu fitted before he signs it off (assumed it may be a gas reg)
