Hi all

I have been asked to fit a voltage optimizer to a house with a rewirable fuse board. I am aware that the manufacturers reccomend not fitting to these but the customer doesnt want a cu upgrade. What are the issues in this situation and is there circumstances were they can be fit with this cu and will be compatable.

thanks. look forward to your advice.

Most of the optimisers come with recommended installation methods. You need to ensure the thing isn't permanently in bypass because the load connected is too large. I also personally think they're not particularly effective in a domestic situation.

Lol, these things don't have much in the way of a fan club around these parts but hey, if it's a paid job and the customer's decided he wants one then I'd just keep quiet and get on with it.

What is the make and model of the optimiser they've chosen?
