Hey all,

Just quickly, can anyone identify Four items of vulnerable equipment you may find in a domestic installation?

Thanks

Can anyone suggest a reason why it is important to 'Clean out' a panel before testing?

I have many reasons, but the more i think of them the more i think there wrong lol

Assuming you mean brush out /remove deberis?? if so Dust shavings and especialy swarf can cause all sorts of guff Iv seen a subpanel almost blow off the wall all due to a bit of swarf and a dodgy earth

Hi Learning Sparky,

I guess cleaning out a panel could be to remove potential danger prior to testing (risk of shorts) and to facilitate identifying any visual defects hidden by obstructions. This would obviously be done after safe isolation.

Hope this helps,

Best wishes

Rex
