Morning chaps.
Been a while since I was here but am I right in thinking an old sponsor of the forum sold wago style connectors?
I did do a search but not much luck. Cheers guys

Line products used to sell wago and ideal connectors. I use the ideal ones a lot now as they do a 32A version that is no bigger than the 24A wago. However, stay away from the ideal multipacks that contain the modern wirenuts/screwits lest you be tempted to use them.
Hellerman and tyton also do some good quality push connectors.

EDIT: Just remembered, I picked up some samples of Niglon branded push connectors off a counter the other day and they seemed a nice neat little piece of kit too.

I have to admit I'm a fan of the wago's, but I've noticed recently that with the lever clamp ones I have been able to pull the conductor out fairly easily once it's levered on. I not saying this is on every single one, perhaps 1 in 10, but I still think thats quite high. I've tested these before and they have been fine so I'm not sure what's going on! It happened with 2.5mm and 1mm conductors.

Anyone had anything similar?

It must have either been printed on the box or a leaflet inside, I must admit I tried it and didn't like it so still clamp and check myself.
Edit
I cant see it on the website either, strange.....

Never seen that said in the hundreds of Wago's I've used. If you dont open the lever, the gate will not open and you cant install a wire into the terminal?

[ElectriciansForums.net] wago alternative

As you can see the 2 gates are open. Just as an example I've placed the new size Wago's next to the 5 lever one.

Optical illusion that you think the Wago's are massive or the BYB is small?

From my limited experience, 6 weeks in a workshop situation pre assembling components of an installation I only used the levered ones for temporary connections.
And the push ins for going in the wago box due to size of the wago box.

Absolutely correct they hold water, shrouds are totally unnecessary. 20s is 24mm spanner, 20 large is 30mm spanner.
