Phil

never have i had such a tough time with getting a qualification or even a tutor. to be fair the tutor seemed like a nice guy (when he was there) he cancelled 2 lessons and then left 3/4`s of the way through the course. when he was there he gave out more wrong answers and miss information than anything else and did nothing but confuse the class. the skill exchange as it is now said they would sort us out and re run the course. two years after they failed to do hat. i was really unhappy as the 91 would have been hard enopugh without that sort of treatment. i did contact the lsc who did not really help either. what a shame it is too be let down in such a bad way. can i just say i am a qualified assessor so i am not just poking fingers at people without good cause.

Re: wakefield skills ctr 2391

Shall I go with this place for my 2391 or not. Did you just have a bad experience with them as a one off or is it a bad college? I was going to start with them on 17th of Jan but you've got me thinking twice and that I should go elsewhere. Anyone had a bad time with these?

Done 2391 and in service test and inspection of electrical equipment C&G whatever it was, both done in Jan 2011. No problems, staff good, presentation good, plenty of help, bob bob bob. I can highly Recommend Wakefield Skills Centre.

Cheers.........howard

Re: wakefield skills ctr 2391

Think Phil got the wrong company there Wakefield Skillcentre Ltd is not part of the college or known as the Skills Exchange.
Our tutor Bob Walker has never cancelled sessions or given out the wrong answers, there was another company which went into liquidation, with their head office based in Cardiff and the centre was in Castleford. Wakefield Skillcentre Ltd is based on Monckton Road Industrial Estate just off Denby Dale Road.

It was indeed the skills exchange which is part of wakefield college and not the skills ctr in Wakefield. sorry for any misunderstanding regarding the names of both venues
