Guys,
been doing alot of wall chasing latley & got loads more coming up so thought about bying a wall chaser.

Read loads of post on here & think I going to get the Makita SG1250 wall chaser as these seem to be one of the best around as it is going to be well used.

But seen on here that it is cheaper to buy Nilfisk vac to go with it as alot cheaper & just as good a the Makita vac.

Can anyonr recomend what Nilfisk to buy and any reviews about this set up.

Thanks all
Billy

Makita SG1250 Wall Chaser

hilti unit with 110v switched through socket More expensive to buy but from what Iv seen terrazo tilers use (Abuse) them n they keep going

I use a makita l class dust extractor which is bagless and self clearing -you can chase in a furnished house with minimal dust one of the best tools i own!

Thanks for this guys.

I have found the Makita vac online for about ÂŁ280 but the Nilfisk ALTO aero is only ÂŁ130 that quite abit of difference if they do the same thing? Also once you chase the wall out with this machine what's the best way to cut the channel out?

Make sure you buy some high temperature grease as it will be costly if you don't

Nilfisk make hilti vacs and festool's special particular vacs. Got a hilti one and it's great brilliant power and built well. You may even find that makita sub contract the manufacture of their vacs to Nilfisk as they are the largest vac manufacturer in Europe.

I have the bosch wall chaser and withit came a thin chisel that fits into the cut slot, lever it sideways and big clean chunks of the chase come out, just get the hammer and tidy up and protruding bits after.

yesterday I picked up a makita wall chaser for ÂŁ125 in a second hand shop, thats a bargan as brand new they're ÂŁ400! I've yet to get a hoover.

What I tend to do (as I share a hoover & chaser with my boss) is chase the wall then sds with a chisel bit, nothing done by hand apart from the socket or switch boxes for the fine chiseling.
