Have to go see somebody on Friday to give a quote. On the phone they were asking for the centre light to be removed in the lounge & replaced by series of sockets around the wall that they could plug standard lamps into controlled by the switch that previously controlled the centre light. They mentioned that they have these at a flat that his partner currently lives in, he also mentioned these were 2 pin sockets. Does anyone know of a product that fits the bill, not happy about providing 2 pin sockets as if they use a metal standard lamp there is potential danger, is there another 3 pin socket/plug available to distinguish these as lighting sockets & not normal sockets.

Alan...

you can still pick up 5amp round pin sockets but you need to replace the plugs on the lamps too and just confirm the lighting is fused correctly as these plugs dont have fuses.

I have installed TLP's on a few jobs but it might be best adding a seperate feed for these and keeping the main light on a seperate switch as they are more for ambient light.
