Wanted- Earth leakage clamp meter.

Not too sure how good they are, don't think I'd trust a £10 clamp meter for any accurate results..

Thought you just clamped the live conductors (line & Neutral) or the earth?

no. the earth leakage ones measure down to 1mA, whereas the normal clamp meters aren't anywhere near that resolution.

Duh!!!! Yeah didn't see that..... I'll put that down to I've never had to buy one and have had the same fluke for 15+ years!!

The cheapest deal I've seen is on fleabay £29-97 buy-it-now or make an offer.
I've no knowledge of these meters, but the specification v price is quite amazing.

Yep, that's the one I've got/had (depending on how long it's legs are ... it's gone awol). Good little clamp and it does DC as well.

I think the Dilog unit is still one of the better budget units with the 10 micro A resolution. Most other budget units i've seen have much higher resolutions like 1mA which isn't really that useful, and isn't that much better than multifunction tester....
