I found this old porcelin jb (think its a jb) with old vir cable all over the shop.


(Actually acording to taz it is an old ceiling rose)

Not exactly, but in the early days, electricians had to be multi skilled, carpentry being one of the more important skills required. That was when electricians were known as the gentlemen of the trades, and often wore suits and bowler to work, with the apprentice at least 3 steps behind him carrying his tools!! lol!!

Hence, the only true trade left, is that of the Instrument Technician.
