Wash machine fault

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to test a washing machine pump for faults (tripping RCD) - I've tested the machine via the flex for ins res (all ok) and there is no continuity between live/earth or neutral/earth.
I don't have any knowledge of appliances - not even sure what the pump would look like?

Dont whatever you do put a megger on it,theres electronics in there!
Have a look on uk whitegoods where there pictures of pumps etc.There should be spade connectors on the pump and a simple resistance test will let you know if its ok.What makes you think its the pump?

I think it trips when the machine is on spin so i suggested maybe checking it out.
