washing line electricals

been to visit an old dear who said when her washing line came down her outside light and plug socket stopped working? yeh you guessed it a bit of thin flex poked through the air vent down to the shed and into a double socket. her son told her she could use the cable for a washing line aswell she didn`t know it was an electric supply of sorts for the shed took it out of the board and she said " what am I gonna do for mi washing now"

Might be a strange idea this but i'm going to say it anyway, how about she buys a washing line and gets someone to put it up for her.

in my good old help the aged (hopefully someone will look after me someday) I put one up for her while i was there not flex though a little safer than her last one. although i am sure it helped the clothes dry quicker
