I have installed a cu into a new extention on a house. This cu is simply lights and sockets for the extention. The exising cu is full so added this one in by cutting into exising tails and then via henley block fed new cu with additional tails (25mm with 16mm earth). As the exisiting cu is bonded to gas and water does my new need to be?

As long as the bonding to the house is in place to your main earth terminal that's fine.

In other words you don't have to take bonding to the second board.

the whole point of bonding is to ensure that gas, water etc, services are tied to a zero potential. as this is already done ( and , of course, you have checked it) then that's it.

Top man ponty! Glad you said that cos the plasterers have been in and the painters and decorators are nearly finished, and although i was confident it wasn't required couldn't get a definate answer form 7671!!

Cheers pal :50:

Indeed it would be. But that would mean having 2 things to disconnect instead of one. More margin for error. Of course, any diligent spark would...
