Hello guys!!

I am new to this forum. I have this query. I am planning to buy ceiling fan. Now I want to figure out how much fan will cost me on per hour basis. Its say following specifications. Now it costs me Rs.7 per unit. Can anyone help me figure my hourly cost? Also when it says 74 W power consumption does it min 74 watts per second or per hour or how?

Technical Specifications:
Voltage : 220-230V
Power Consumption: 74 W
Speed : 360 R.P.M.
Air Delivery: 230 Cu M/Min

Thanks in advance.

in other words. it will use 1 kwh ( 1 unit) of electrical energy in 13.5 hours.

Thank you very much. So when it says power consumption is 74 W, it means that the fan will use 74 W for per hour. Is it same for all appliances? Also I tried finding watt consumption my fridge but I couldnt.. It only says 230V - 50 Hz. What does this mean? Can we know we know the watt consumption by this?

Yes it's the same for all appliances. 230v 50 Hz does not give you the information you need. If there is something on the fridge that quotes the power in Amps (A) then at 230 volts. 1 amp = 230 watts. Hope that helps.
