well, what a blessing, one of the driest novembers on record. we were all stressing at the begining of the month if the weather would stop our plans but certainly it's been pretty reasonable down here, just a couple of wet days, enough to make my tools go rusty but hey, next month I could buy some more!!
If it can just hold off for another week so I can finish my final 5 installs that would be great.
If anyone has a direct connection to the Big Man upstairs maybe they could put a good word in!!

Agreed, the weather has been ludicrous. I've been wearing a t-shirt pretty much every day.

Yesterday was grim though - slate roof in pouring rain in the middle of Brum.

Biggs - you should be more careful :smiley2:. You're no good to anyone with broken bones or worse if you fall off that roof.

Slate in the rain - we won't touch it. Got 6 jobs left to do, 4 slate (having a bit of a rest from slate at the minute - had 2 tiled roofs to do for a change) but if it rained til the end of the month we wouldn't do the slate. Life is too precious and money is just money.

We're ahead of schedule with the help of the weather - thought about trying to get another couple of jobs in - but like everyone else, we've had enough for the minute. I'll take the extra week to try to plan for January.

we've got one of those crappy slate immitation (plastic) roofs on monday.
I'm thinking remove a 'slate' and lead it but does anyone else have any tips, how to get them out, moving about on the roof etc.

I think we'll have to break out the roofing ladders and the slate ripper.

Only had a slight frost on the car screen the other day other than that not seen any frost at all......Is this the calm before the storm though.
