You reckon,i'm not say they are good or bad conductors i'm just saying there conductors. But then again what's to say that these Japanese engineers have not made a more conductive tire nothing is impossible. Gone a bit off topic but still the idea is pretty amazing all they need to now is electrify the roads the cost of that alone probably would never see this idea take off .

The chinese and japanese are always big steps ahead of the world regarding having successful transport systems consider the Maglev train the infrastructure alone was multi-billions but you have got to hand it to them, trains always on time,no wear or tear on parts, fastest in the world and used by millions daily.... if the idea is plausable they will do it but as you say its doubful we will see anything like that overhere.
