Had a phone call this week in regards to my application to do my HNC in EE and he said I was all but accepted on the course all I've got to do is
get my predicted grade from my 2391-20.
sit the maths course (tomorrow)-which I told him theres not much chance of me passing as it's been 15 years since I last learnt maths and that was at GCSE level, but he was ok with this and said it's something that can is taught on the course so if needs be thats what he can do.
have an interview with him in the next few weeks.
the lecturer seemed a very nice and helpful chap as i explained my back ground and he said most of the people who pass this course come from a working background the ones that tend to fail are the a-level students that have no experience.

I wish you the best of luck mate. If your last maths was 15 years ago at GCSE level, I would seriously consider doing the engineering maths primer or A level pure maths before tackling the HNC because you are going to have enough to cope with, without the added burden of playing catch up on the maths on top of the HNC. A lot do it your way, but most with hindsight regret it.
At least you haven't got the hell of the old IEE syllabus to battle with.
