bugsy

Just had to replace a 45a DP switch for the cooker, when I arrived I couldnt find the isolator for the cooker hood, so I whippe off the hood and the supply cable ran off in a tangent towards the window , this did.nt look good! chased out the cable found a IP54 box plastered into the wall connected to cooker circuit all cables twisted together- priceless,
chased out the cooker cables, off at a tangent towards the boiler (oppersite direction)
to a 32a DP switch then to connection unit . took the cover off 1.5mm twin flex supplying hobb (4.8kw ) and Oven 1.8kw

How I love Monday's

Low and behold her son did the install , but he is a qualified electrician .
Really where did he do his time ( I thought prehaps pentonville )
But no he did an 8 week course and passed all his exams -
So what is he doing now?
Traffic Warden
I started laughing - she got upset going back tomorrow

Dont know whats worse being a traffic warden(love the scene in lock stock, throw the git in the van) or saying your a FULLY qualified electrician after a 2 month course(if you have had no experience of electrics beforehand).

Don't start me on this one ! on the one hand I feel sorry for the guy's that hand over the dosh thinking they can become wonder sparks in 8-12 or even 14 weeks
and on the other hand really angry ( see moderators no swearing ) that good sparks take three years (at least) someone needs to do something to educate these poor people and make them realise that after all the promises they are unemployable ( quick duck)
