Do you know of any other grid switches that I can use instead? That will fit the back box without removing? Only because it's behind the plaster board, screwed to breeze block. So a bit of hard to remove.

I think they have only been in 8 months it's a new build of flats, the customer said they were buzzing like crazy and then 1 appliance stopped working. He had another 2 "electricians" that went in before me and apparently got it working but when The customer came home he was even more in shock because another 2 appliances weren't working.

I don't really want to replace like for like as this will happen again.

The back box if recessed should be fine to use with another make of grids.

If this is a new build the owner / occupier should be straight on to the main contractors to get this sorted.

I was in fire station last week and old bank of grid switches and few switches not working, apparently can't get no more so have build a box and add new plate.

They different size , ring any bells anyone

Well his property managers have given him the ok for me to deal with it, can't complain works work at the end of the day.
Thanks Sintra the box is recessed with just the faceplate against the plasterboard, I usually just change the lot when replacing grids so I have never noticed.
